Polymer clay food!

One of the first things you need to know when you're learning how to make polymer clay is where to get, and what good brands there are. You can get polymer clay at most craft stores like Michael's and Joann. You can also find it online. the brand that's used the most amongst us polymer clay foodie people, is probably Sculpey III. Each 2 oz. block is about $2.29, but you never have to buy it at that price. most stores have it on sale 70% of the time for about 85 cents to 99 cents per block. Fimo is also a popular brand, but its a bit pricier. they're typically 2 or more dollars, so whenever they go on sale, i tend to buy a lot while i can. Studio but sculpey is one of my very favorite brands. it's really pricey and almost never onsale, but the quality is amazing. it can be a bit hard and crumbly at first, but if you just knead it a bit, it'll soften up, but not so much that its too soft to make stuff. Thats a common problem with Sculpey III. Lots of times, it can be too soft, and you can't hold it without squishing it a little. Premo by sculpey is a pretty decent brand. its also pricey, but it's worth it. I only buy it for cupcake bases, sowhen i apply the icing, the cup part doesnt get squished up... I'll post a tutorial soon...I'll try at least :D
